  1. to transfer option file to memory card you gonna need:
    1. USB flash drive
    2. uLaunch ELF
    3. PS2 Save Builder

    steps:
    1. download option file (format can be max, cbs, psu, xpo, pws, npo, xpo, xps, etc)
    2. run PS Save Builder, File->Open-> choose your option file for example *.max
    3. Copy text in Root/ID, make Folder in your USB flash drive and rename it like text in the Root/ID you just copied
    4. In PS2 Save Builder, right click on each file on the list, choose Extract, extract it to the folder you just made in step 3
    5. burn your uLaunch image (iso or cue/bin) to CD
    6. plug USB flash drive to PS2, turn on PS2, insert uLaunch CD to PS2, if it run properly screen will appear as file browser
(Your USB flash drive is known as Mass:\, Memory card slot 1 as MC0:\, memory Card Slot 2 as MC1:\)
    7. Get in Mass:\, highlight the folder that contain option file, press R1, choose Copy
    8. Get in MC then press R1, choose mcPaste

And that’s how you copy option file from USB flash drive to Memory Card.

You can backup your option file from memory card to USB flash drive, just copy then paste.

    PS:
mcPaste = memory card paste = when you paste file to memory card
psuPaste = psuPaste = when you paste file with psu extension (*.psu) to memory card
So if you have option file with psu extension, you don’t need PS2 save builder, you only need uLaunch since you can just copy and psuPaste it to memory card, after psuPaste you’ll notice that it becomes a folder contain 3 files similar if you do it with PS2 save builder.

My name is Chris, I’m from Indonesia, so pardon me if my English suck and you get confused reading it. Just google for additional info 😉
